Next week’s October 5 episode of AEW Dynamite is set to be the anniversary episode of the show, marking three years since the first episode of AEW Dynamite in 2019.
On tonight’s show, several matches were set up for the show. The first was in a promo segment between Wheeler Yuta and MJF, when MJF told Wheeler that he would meet him on next week’s show.
Another match was set up in tonight’s opening segment, when Daniel Garcia was again tasked with picking between the Jericho Appreciation Society and the Blackpool Combat Club. Garcia said that he wanted to team with Danielson against Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara, which was set for next week’s show.
Also announced for the show is Darby Allin vs Jay Lethal, as well as Luchasaurus in action, and Billy Gunn and the new AEW World Tag Team Champions the Acclaimed hosting ‘national scissoring day’.
