Huge Title Change At NJPW Dominion 2020

Everything is EVIL. After shocking fans by beating Kazuchika Okada and joining Bullet Club at the New Japan Cup final, EVIL has defeated Tetsuya Naito to win the IWGP Heavyweight and IWGP Intercontinental Championships at Dominion.

This was by far the biggest moment of EVIL’s career. He had been the first recruit of Los Ingobernables de Japon in 2015 and now he is the group’s first defector. EVIL has effectively become the leader of Bullet Club as the new double champion of New Japan.

EVIL is just the seventh different man to hold the IWGP Heavyweight Championship since 2012. Arguably the most prestigious title in all of pro wrestling, the IWGP Heavyweight title has found a new home. This is the first first-time champion since Jay White won the title in February 2019.

EVIL was helped by Jado, Taiji Ishimori and the debuting Dick Togo in the match. Togo choked out Naito while wearing a BUSHI mask and only revealed his identity after the match. Hiromu Takahashi came to Naito’s side and demanded answers from EVIL.

It appears Hiromu will be EVIL’s first challenger as he asked for a shot at at least one the belts.
