Earlier tonight, NXT crowned new Women’s Tag Team Champions. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez were given the titles by William Regal.
Regal was frustrated because his women didn’t get many chances to compete for the WWE Women’s Titles. So, he created his own and gave them to the winners of the Dusty Classic.
Immediately, Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon challenged them for a match later on the show. The match was accepted. Well, now, we have new NXT Women’s NXT Champions.

Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon are the new champions. This seems like a pretty good shot to be one of the shortest title reigns in the history of the belts.
Personally, I don’t feel like gifting the belts right off the bat and then having a title change that quickly establishes the belts as serious championships. It just makes them seem like props, but what do I know.
Congrats to the new champions and former champions and all the champions.
