A huge ‘winner takes all’ championship match was announced during tonight’s episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network.
On next week’s episode of NXT, Keith Lee will defend his North American Championship in a three-way match against both Johnny Gargano and Finn Bálor, which is pretty massive in itself.
What’s even bigger than that is the winner will progress onto the July 8 episode to challenge Adam Cole for the NXT Championship in a winner takes all match with both titles on the line.
The x-factor in all of this is Karrion Kross, who has expressed interest in Cole’s title but wasn’t included in this segment.
Bronson Reed challenged Kross to a match for next week’s show, so it seems like we’ll be getting that. Another side story was Keith Lee smashing Kross’ timer, so that could be played into at some point.
The July 8 episode does of course cross over with AEW’s second part of Fyter Fest, which I’m sure has absolutely nothing to do with this announcement at all.
