A mention of a huge WWE star was reportedly edited out of last night’s August 22 edition of AEW Saturday Night Dynamite on TNT.
As per Fightful Select, Rey Mysterio was name dropped in a promo by Eddie Kingston during the show, but the mention was edited out and removed.
Kingston came out to the ring and united the Lucha Brothers and Butcher & Blade to create what looks to be a new five-man faction.
Mysterio had been working without a WWE contract recently and had been made offers from both companies, but is believed to have agreed to a three-year deal to remain with WWE.
The exact reason the mention of Mysterio was edited out of Kingston’s promo isn’t clear.
The biggest news coming out of last night’s Dynamite is that of Mr Brodie Lee defeating Cody emphatically to win the TNT Championship.
