WWE Crown Jewel is the gift that keeps on giving… if that gift happens to be controversy, speculation, and more controversy.
As it stands, the event is up in the air, with WWE reportedly due to make a decision on the future of the pay-per-view at some point today.
At time of writing, no such step has been taken, though the latest rumor to have come to fruition is that WWE is planning to relocate to the event to the United States. Emphasis on the the word “rumor” there.
However, something that has just seemingly been confirmed is an appearance that was speculated on a few weeks back, in the WWE return of the ‘Immortal’ Hulk Hogan.
In an interview with the Orlando Sentinel, Hogan said:
“There are a lot of plans in the works. I’m looking forward to going to Saudi Arabia with the WWE, looking forward to WrestleMania — but yeah, we’re moving forward at a rapid pace. It’s exciting to have this opportunity again after all these years where I was there and gone.”
Hogan was reintroduced into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year, after being removed in 2015 over multiple controversies.
Of course, whether it will actually be Saudi Arabia or indeed elsewhere that WWE decides to hold Crown Jewel, or whether Hogan was actually referring to Crown Jewel at all, is up in the air.
I’m surprised he’s not in the US Open World Cup.
