Hulk Hogan Reveals Who He Thinks Could Be The Next Big Star In WWE

Hulk Hogan might well be the most iconic figure in WWE history, and he has given his thoughts on who from the current roster could break out as the next big superstar.

In an interview with ESPN, Hogan said the following:

“You know, Vince is always looking for that one big attraction.

“When I see all the young guys coming up it’s just hard to tell, because there are so many of them that are fighting to grab that brass ring. You’ve got the ‘Scottish Psychopath’ (Drew McIntyre) that’s running around like a crazy man. Of course you’ve got AJ Styles. Then you’ve got Ricochet, who’s making an impression on everyone. I’m still betting on Kevin Owens, he’s my boy. I’m a huge John Cena fan. He’s my favorite wrestler. He’s doing a lot of movies, so I’m disappointed that I can’t throw John Cena back into the picture for the world title.”

Drew McIntyre is an interesting one as, despite his presence and talent, he’s been somewhat loitering as Shane McMahon’s lackey for quite some time now, and many had him pegged as a sure-fire future World Champion.

AJ Styles is a multi-time WWE Champion and current US Champion, but is approaching the end of his in-ring career and recently signed his last ever in-ring contract.

New Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman is said to be high on former US Champion Ricochet, whereas Kevin Owens is seemingly being positioned as a current-era Stone Cold (although admittedly I hate such comparisons), so it’ll be interesting to see how high his popularity can reach.

Hogan also had some very, very high praise for Charlotte Flair:

“And the girls. Charlotte Flair is setting this bar so high that Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, or Andre The Giant would have a hard time catching up to her, because she is blowing the roof off of this place because she’s got it all. It’s just amazing. You’ve got a handful to pick from. I sure wish I was Vince McMahon with all this talent.”
