Identity Of Carmella’s ‘Sommelier’ From SmackDown

Here’s the identity of the ‘sommelier’ that was used for Carmella during last night’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.

The part was played by NXT talent Akeem Young, who was announced as having signed with WWE in January of this year.

He only got the Akeem Young name a couple of months ago and his real name is Sidney Bateman. It seemed during the show that Carmella was calling him Tommy.

Prior to signing, he was an acrobat who was a cast member for Cirque du Soleil’s “LUZIA” show, where he specialized in hoop diving.

He was introduced last night on a show which Carmella main evented in a SmackDown Women’s Title match against Sasha Banks.

The ‘sommelier’ got involved which prompted Banks to get a bit angry and she got herself disqualified, so Carmella won but Banks kept the title.

After the match, Carmella smashed a champagne bottle against Banks’ back and it looks like we’re definitely heading for a rematch at the TLC pay-per-view.
