Some backstage news has been revealed regarding the identity of the masked mystery person that helped Candice LeRae at NXT Halloween Havoc.
Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the plan was for the person to unmask and be revealed as Indi Hartwell, who has already helped LeRae several times in the past.
However, Hartwell is one of the people who is currently quarantining after an NXT talent tested positive for COVID-19, so she couldn’t be at the show, and the mystery person was actually someone else filling in.
It’s expected the person will be revealed to be Hartwell eventually, but obviously if that’s the case it won’t play out until she’s clear to be back on TV. Shirai still managed to retain the Women’s Title despite the interference.
There was another masked person who helped Johnny Gargano win the North American Title earlier in the night. It’s unknown if that will be revealed as Hartwell too, or someone else. Previous weeks suggest it could be Austin Theory.
Meltzer also noted regarding the positive test that it was a coach that tested positive and all talent at the PC this past Friday was told to quarantine for two weeks regardless of their tests.
