A new update has emerged on the WWE roster status of Ilja Dragunov following his return on last night’s SmackDown.
Dragunov made his first appearance since suffering an injury over a year ago to answer Sami Zayn’s United States Championship open challenge.
Dragunov emerged victorious from their match, winning the US Championship.
In a new update on his status, the WWE website roster page now officially lists him as being moved to the SmackDown roster.
He had been listed on the Raw roster ever since he was called up to the main roster in last year’s WWE draft, including during the time he was out injured.
Last night, Dragunov returned noticeably bigger than the last time we saw him over a year ago, with a new neck and chest tattoo, and a big knee brace on his right knee, which he injured in an untelevised match against GUNTHER last year, leading to his absence.
After last night’s match, Dragunov and Sami Zayn were about to share a moment of respect, but were attacked by Solo Sikoa and the MFTs before the Wyatt Sicks made the save.
