IMPACT Wrestling held Bound for Glory tonight on pay-per-view. The show was full of newsworthy events. One of the big announcements of the show was an announcement involving some new titles coming to IMPACT.
Technically, the titles will be returning to IMPACT Wrestling. IMPACT will be bringing back the Knockout’s Tag Team Championship.
IMPACT has gotten a lot of positive publicity for the depth and talent of their women’s division in 2020. They have developed several partnerships between women on their roster.
The announcement said the titles will be returning at Hard To Kill in January of 2021. Well, technically Josh Matthews said 2020, but to my knowledge time machines haven’t been invented yet. So, we’ll just assume he meant 2021.
This announcement came on a big night for the Knockouts. Deonna Purrazzo was set to defend the Knockout’s Title against Kylie Rae.
However, Kylie Rae apparently did not make it to the show. IMPACT did not give any reason for her absence.
Su Yung filled in and actually won the title from Purrazzo. The match was really good, but many fans were looking forward to a long reign from Purrazzo.
We’ll have more on all the news from the Knockout’s Division as it develops.
