
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Brian Cage very nearly appeared at AEW Double or Nothing before the promotion blocked the appearance.
According to Johnson, Cage had been approached for an appearance and had accepted before IMPACT officials got wind of the agreement and told him his contract would not allow him to make the appearance.
Interestingly, Cage is allowed to work for other Independent companies and has appeared at Bar Wrestling, wXw, RevPro, Beyond Wrestling among others in the past few months.
Brian Cage suffered a nasty back injury during his title win at IMPACT: Rebellion on April 28, but has since returned.
He is scheduled to take on the recently debuted Michael Elgin for the IMPACT World Championship at IMPACT: Slammiversary on July 7.
