A number of recently released WWE stars featured in the 30 second clip. Samoa Joe, Mickie James and Chelsea Green were all released on April 15. Their 90-day non-compete clauses would expire just days before the July 17 event, meaning they would be free to show up at Slammiversary.
Clips of Tetsuya Naito and Kazuchika Okada from their IMPACT runs were also shown. A NJPW competitor has recently opened up about being forced to quarantine, following several NJPW talents coming forward with positive COVID-19 tests.
