IMPACT Wrestling plans to introduce a new championship title for the promotion tonight, as per PWInsider.
The report noted that the announcement will also reveal that a tournament to crown an inaugural champion will begin on next Thursday’s edition of IMPACT.
The new title will reportedly be built around company’s digital media and Impact+ streaming service. It is thought that the announcement will be made on IMPACT TV, however this was not confirmed in the report.
IMPACT’s anticipated Bound for Glory event will take place on October 23. Josh Alexander has surrendered his X-Division Championship for a shot at Christian Cage’s IMPACT World Title during the pay-per-view. The X-Division Championship is currently vacant.
Promotional materials hinted that Bound for Glory would be an inter-promotional event, with AEW, AAA and NJPW logos featuring in early vignettes
