IMPACT & NWA ‘Hopeful’ For Huge Mickie James Match

It has been reported that IMPACT and NWA are hopeful for a huge inter-promotional match featuring Mickie James.

At Slammiversary on July 17, Mickie James confronted Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo, teasing a match at NWA EmPowerrr. According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Purrazzo vs James isn’t the current plan for the August 28 show.

Purrazzo will reportedly face Melina at the event. It was noted that Purrazzo and James’ interactions are building to a hopeful match down the line.

At Slammiversary, Purrazzo defeated NWA star Thunder Rosa to retain her gold. IMPACT are reportedly open to working with other promotions more frequently.
