There was disappointing news for Impact Wrestling a few days out from its biggest pay-per-view of the year, Bound For Glory: the ratings for this week’s episode of Impact TV were the second lowest of the year.
The broadcast pulled an average of 183,000 viewers on Pop TV, down from 190,000 last week. The lowest of the year was two months ago on August 9, which pulled a surprisingly low 168,000. It was seen as an anomaly at the time as the week prior had done 248,000.
Unfortunately, this week’s rating is not an anomaly but a continuing trend of falling numbers, with the number dropping for the fourth consecutive week. It was down 96,000 from this time last year.

Impact’s ratings have taken a significant hit from the start of the football season, with the game they opposed this Thursday pulling a massive 17 million viewers.
As of October 25, the ratings will likely drop further, as Impact will be moving to a new start time on Pop TV, staying on Thursday nights but shifting back two hours from 8pm to 10pm.
Bound For Glory takes places this Sunday evening and Impact on Pop will air in its 8pm time slot of the final time on October 18. Hopefully the show will experience a post-PPV bump to reverse the trend of falling numbers.
