A major star was fired by Don Callis following the IMPACT World Championship match during last night’s Against All Odds show.
During last night’s pay-per-view, Kenny Omega retained the IMPACT World Title against Moose, with an assist from The Young Bucks. After the match, Sami Callihan appeared in the ring to attack Omega.
Callihan floored Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and Omega with his baseball bat before Don Callis came out to reason with him. The former IMPACT World Champion retrieved a chair from under the ring and set it up over a prone Omega.
Before he could do anything else, Callis fired Callihan on the spot. Callis left Daily’s place, leaving Callihan in the ring.
IMPACT Wrestling shared a clip of the segment on Twitter:

This angle seemed to set up a match between Callihan and Omega. Callihan has been teasing a showdown with the AEW World Champion since the formation of the AEW and IMPACT working relationship.
Callihan has already taken to social media to note that he’ll be on IMPACT next week, tweeting:
“Think I give a damn if you FIRE me!? I’ll see you Thursday, BITCH.”
Deonna Purrazzo defeated Rosemary to retain her Knockout’s Championship. During that match, a huge inter-promotional dream bout was teased on commentary.
