The viewership for yesterday’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling has been revealed, just days after Kenny Omega won the promotion’s World Title.
Despite AEW‘s Omega beating Rich Swann at Rebellion this past Sunday, viewership for Thursday’s show dipped to 120,000 viewers on AXS TV as per Showbuzz Daily.
The episode before Rebellion on April 29 did 145,000 viewers. Both shows scored a 0.05 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
With Omega having won the World Title and appearing on the show, the drop is somewhat of a curious one, especially because Rebellion itself was a success numbers-wise.
Of course the NFL Draft likely played a part, and the AXS TV numbers don’t take into account people watching on Twitch.
Thursday’s episode also saw W Morrisey (Big Cass) on the show after his debut at Rebellion, and an X-Division Title match with new champion Josh Alexander defending against Ace Austin.
Kenny Omega’s next IMPACT match will be at Under Siege on May 15 as he teams with the Good Brothers against Eddie Edwards, David Finlay, and Juice Robinson.
