Impact officially confirmed during its most recent episode that Brian Cage will defend the promotion’s World Championship against Sami Callihan at Bound For Glory.
Bound For Glory is Impact’s biggest show of the year, and takes place on October 20 from the Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park, Illinois.
Callihan earned the match by defeating Tessa Blanchard at Impact Unbreakable on August 2.
Sami had already beaten Blanchard at Slammiversary on July 7, but they were teamed together in the Mash-Up tag tournament that followed, and won, which resulted in their number one contender match at Unbreakable.
World Champion Brian Cage hadn’t appeared on Impact since Slammiversary due to injury, but returned on this past Friday’s episode and confirmed he’s been cleared, thus making the match official.
Cage has been World Champion since he defeated former champ Johnny Impact at Rebellion on April 28.
