IMPACT Wrestling Announces First Ever Pit Fight IMPACT Wrestling

IMPACT Wrestling has announced their first ever Pit Fight.

Throughout the company’s history, WWE has presented MMA-based matches such as “The Lion’s Den” and “The Fight Pit Match”.

On the other hand, IMPACT Wrestling has had several characters with mixed martial art backgrounds that have been used in matches like the Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe Steel Cage Match back at Lockdown 2008.

Nearly 15 years later, the company is presenting a new stipulation that will take inspiration from the MMA world.

IMPACT Wrestling has announced that Speedball Mike Bailey will face Kenny King in the first ever “Pit Fight” on the January 19 episode of IMPACT on AXS TV.

On the January 5 edition of IMPACT, King continued his rivalry with Speedball by invading his training school in Montreal and attacking his students. This led to Bailey making a challenge to finally settle the score with King in a “Pit Fight”.

Unless the match has already been taped, it is likely to take place during the January 14 IMPACT on AXS TV taping from Atlanta, Georgia’s Center Stage.
