An IMPACT Wrestling star is among the names making the Best of the Super Jr debut for its 30th anniversary.
As announced on the official New Japan Pro Wrestling website, the upcoming series will see Block A and Block B matches leading to the championship match on May 28.
Among the names joining the tournament that begins on May 13 is IMPACT Wrestling’s ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey.
Bailey is making his first appearance in BOSJ and features in Block A.
Other names in Block A are:
KUSHIDA, Ryusuke Taguchi, Lio Rush, DOUKI, Hiromu Takahashi, Titán, TJP, Taiji Ishimori, SHO.
Over in Block B will be:
El Desperado, YOH, Master Wato, Kevin Knight, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, BUSHI, Robbie Eagles, Francesco Akira, Dan Moloney & Clark Connors
Along with Bailey, Lio Rush, Kevin Knight and British standout wrestler Dan Moloney will also be making their first appearances in the tournament.
KUSHIDA will also enter the tournament for the first time in five years.
Hiromu Takahashi is the reigning IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and has won the Best of the Super Juniors tournament on the last three occasions.
