Drake is Great
I’m a fan of Eli Drake, and it’s great to see him open the show. He’s pretty good on the mic as he really interacts with the crowd when given the chance. This week he really was given the chance, as he came down to the ring for a few minutes of uninterrupted promo work.
After ‘working’ the crowd a little, he eventually was interrupted by LAX (led by Konnan), a group we haven’t seen in a ring for a while. LAX, the tag champs, wanted answers about who Drake’s partner would be when he faces them for the titles. It was a fair question, and for the first time in wrestling history, a fair question got a fair answer – Scott Steiner will be Eli Drake’s tag partner.
Steiner pulled his usual promo work (I’m sure you know what I mean when I say that), setting up their match at Redemption for the tag titles. Even though I like Eli Drake, I hope they don’t win because it means a lot more Scott Steiner on our screens.
Although I’m not a fan of Steiner, it should be a fun match, and I’m going to look forward to it.
