Imperium To Defend NXT Tag Team Title At WarGames

The Imperium duo of Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel is set to defend the NXT Tag Team Championship at WarGames.

During tonight’s show, Legado Del Fantasma’s Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza said they wanted a title shot, but Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner came out and said they wanted one too.

Imperium then appeared and said those two teams can battle it out to decide who challenges them at WarGames.

Wilde and Mendoza actually already beat O’Reilly and Wagner last week, but the referee didn’t notice Wagner was in the ropes so they’ll be having a rematch next week to determine Imperium’s challengers.

Also announced during tonight’s NXT 2.0 for WarGames was a hair vs hair match, which you can read about at this link.

NXT WarGames will air on Peacock/WWE Network on December 5.
