Those who are hoping to see a brand new Smackdown Live this Tuesday should probably look away now…
After WWE Extreme Rules this weekend, Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff are due to properly begin their roles as Executive Directors of Raw and Smackdown respectively.
BREAKING: WWE names Paul @HeymanHustle Executive Director of #Raw and @EBischoff Executive Director of #SDLive, as first reported by @SInow! https://t.co/5kVwoyfxUw

Paul Heyman has already reportedly been working on Raw shows backstage with Vince McMahon, with many of the key segments form the last two episodes coming from Brock Lesnar’s advocate.
However, Bischoff has not been present at either of the two Smackdown tapings since his appointment, and this is said to have upset various members of WWE’s creative team, and even some in-ring talent.
Dave Meltzer is noting in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the fact the WCW personality has not been present at any Smackdown show since he was given the role will mean that any improvements will take longer to implement:
“It’s been noted to us that every week he’s not there puts him another week behind and the battles necessary to be the catalyst of change and improvement are going to take a long time”.
Despite Bischoff moving to Stamford yesterday with his family to begin his new role next week, do not expect the first Smackdown after Extreme Rules to have any major changes.
