On the 11/27 episode of AEW: Dynamite, The Butcher and The Blade debuted by attacking Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes.
Many fans were left confused by the segment, with not many people watching in the crowd or watching the show at home knowing who the tag team actually were.
Following on from the debut last week, AEW has announced that The Butcher and The Blade will be making their in-ring debuts for the promotion on next week’s show.
Despite The Butcher and The Blade not appearing on the show, it was announced during the Hikaru Shida vs. Kris Statlander match that Cody Rhodes will team with the winless QT Marshall to take on the new tag team next week.
Based on the fact that this is The Butcher and The Blade’s in-ring debut, and Cody is teaming with QT Marshall who has been treated like a jobber thus far in AEW, I really expect the debuting tag team to pick up the win.
It was also announced last night that on the 12/18 episode of Dynamite, AEW World Champion Chris Jericho will go one-on-one with Jungle Boy in what should be a pretty decent match.
