Independent Promotion Announces Working Relationship With WWE WWE

Update: Shawn Michaels has commented on Ivy Nile’s appearance with Reality of Wrestling on the post-Vengeance Day media call. You can read more about that by clicking here.

The Forbidden Door in professional wrestling has opened up a lot as of late, with WWE still yet to fully get in on the action.

Karl Anderson was able to fulfill his prior commitments to New Japan Pro Wrestling after signing with WWE in October, dropping his NEVER Openweight Championship to Tama Tonga at Wrestle Kingdom 17 last month.

Now, it appears as though WWE is set to partner up with an independent promotion, namely Reality of Wrestling, run by WWE Hall of Famer and NXT announcer Booker T.

The ROW Twitter account announced today that they will be working with NXT to bring fans matchups between NXT stars and stars from the ROW roster.

The announcement came alongside the announcement that Ivy Nile will be in action on the February 11 Reality of Wrestling show in Texas.

They tweeted:

Reality of Wrestling is taking the roster to the NEXT Level! We are proud to announce that we’ll be working with NXT to bring our fans incredible match ups they can’t see anywhere else

Don’t miss the chance to see NXT’s @ivynile_wwe in action on Sat, Feb 11th in Texas City.

This comes not long after various independent promotions such as ICW and PROGRESS had their content discontinued from the WWE Network.

NXT is set to hold it’s Vengeance Day event tonight, with ROW alumnus Roxanne Perez set to defend her NXT Women’s Championship against both Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne.
