Indie Star’s AEW Debut Confirmed For First UK Show AEW

AEW star Chris Jericho has said that it is a ‘done deal’ that Michael Oku (The OJMO) will be at the upcoming AEW tapings in the UK.

In November 2022, AEW confirmed that the promotion would be holding tapings in London, England in 2023, with dates to be announced in the future.

With Dark and Dark: Elevation often showcasing the best local unsigned names, there has been a lot of speculation about the UK performers who could make their AEW debut during the promotion’s visit.

On the Talk is Jericho podcast, Jericho told Michael Oku that he guarantees that Oku will be on an AEW UK show.

Jericho told Oku:

“You’ll be on the (UK) show for sure, I’ll guarantee you that. I’ll guarantee it. No problem at all. That’s easy. That’s easy to do. Done. Done deal.”

Oku is one of the UK’s top prospects, making a name for himself in RevPro and OTT. Oku has also wrestled for the likes of NJPW, PROGRESS and GCW.

The rising star shared the ring with Jericho at the January 8 PWG Battle of Los Angeles show, where Oku, Jonathan Gresham, Kevin Blackwood, Player Uno & SB KENTo faced off against the Jericho Appreciation Society.

AEW’s Saraya previously revealed that she’s hopeful that members of her wrestling family can also wrestle on an AEW show in London.
