Scotland-based indie promotion Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) has confirmed its contract with WWE has come to an end.
The official ICW Twitter account posted the following:
ICW’s contract with WWE has come to an end.
We’ll be revealing the new homes of ICW programming in due course.
In the meantime, all unaired programming will air on YouTube and ICW On Demand.
A new episode will air on YouTube every day at 5pm GMT from now till Thursday 26 January.
ICW On Demand subscribers already have access to 5 new episodes, with 4 more due to air by Tuesday 24 January.
Our ICW Fight Club event on Sunday 29 January will air live on Facebook and YouTube.
Fightful had reported yesterday that “WWE is not continuing independent content on the WWE Network on Peacock”, so ICW is likely not the only promotion in this situation.
In August 2020, it was announced that content from ICW, EVOLVE (which WWE later purchased), PROGRESS and wXw would be available on the WWE Network.
Two-time WWE Champion and two-time ICW World Champion Drew McIntyre is notably an ICW Hall of Famer.
UPDATE – PROGRESS Wrestling has also confirmed its departure from the WWE Network.
