Indie promotions can’t stream a top star’s matches due to AAA’s policy.
Game Changer Wrestling announced that current AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo will making his debut for the promotion at this Friday’s Amerikaz Most Wanted event.
However, it looks like fans of the AAA star will be unable to see the match live on the show.
On December 13, GCW noted that, per Lucha Libre AAA guidelines, the promotion will not be able to stream Vikingo’s bout. GCW’s Twitter account tweeted the following caption:
*THIS FRIDAY – LA!*
Just Signed:
VIKINGO
vs
BLAKE CHRISTIAN
*Please Note*
Per AAA Guidelines, Vikingos match will not be streamed. This policy will cover *ALL* of Vikingo’s independent bookings and is in effect until further notice.

Lucha Blog Twitter account added to this by noting that the best way to see Vikingo in the United States is to go see him in person live. Lucha Blog tweeted:
I have been told this policy expands to VOD too, but I haven’t heard that confirmed from promoters yet.
I have thoughts about this logic of policy but the part you need to know is you have to go in person to see Vikingo at this point.
El Hijo del Vikingo recently secured a work visa to perform in the United States and has also been announced for the PWG Battle of Los Angeles tournament in January.
