Injured AEW Star Cleared For Return AEW

A long injured AEW star has reportedly been cleared for an in-ring return after missing five months of action.

Former AEW TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs has been out of action since he suffered a knee injury during an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match against Jon Moxley back in April.

After missing almost five months of action, it was recently reported that Hobbs was back on the road, with him being present backstage at AEW All Out in Chicago.

In an update on Hobbs’ status from Fightful Select (subscription required), Fightful has learned that Powerhouse Hobbs has been cleared to return to the ring in the past few weeks.

Hobbs had undergone surgery to repair the injury back in May.

Fightful was told that he has undergone extensive in-ring testing ahead of being cleared, which has become the standard in AEW.

Hobbs is currently awaiting creative plans. He had been a member of the Don Callis Family at the time of his injury back in April

On Thursday, Hobbs took to Twitter, where he simply wrote:
