An AEW star who has been out of action for over a year is reportedly close to a return to the ring.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Leyla Hirsch is nearing a return to the ring after more than a year on the sidelines.

Hirsch has been sidelined since she tore her ACL during a match with Christina Marie on AEW Dark: Elevation back in April 2022.

Hirsch had begun being more prominently featured on AEW programming prior to her injury last year, including a feud against Kris Statlander, with Hirsch defeating Statlander on the Buy-In for Revolution in 2022.

Statlander herself recently made a return from injury, returning at Double or Nothing last weekend and defeating Jade Cargill to become the new TBS Champion.

She is set to make the first defence of her new title on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite against Nyla Rose.
