Several weeks ago, Abadon suffered an injury during tapings for AEW: Dynamite. Rumors were she was having trouble breathing. Additionally, there was some speculation on how serious the injury was.
Good news came tonight. Abadon returned to the show. She appeared on the ramp after the Hikaru Shida and Anna Jay match on the show.
The commentary team was asking what was next for the AEW Women’s Champion. They weren’t sure who she would face as her next challenger.
Abadon certainly made an interesting claim for the title. As Shida ran away, she dropped the title on the ramp.

Abadon picked the title up and licked it. Not the most hygienic way to say you want the title, but it got the point across.
While it may seem like Abadon has done nothing to earn a shot at the title, the easy rebuttal is AEW doesn’t really give many women the chance to earn title shots on Dynamite. So, who would be more deserving than her? Probably Britt Baker, but she seems headed to a feud with Thunder Rosa.
No matter what you think about the AEW Women’s World Title picture, we can all agree it’s great to see Abadon back and healthy after what appeared to be a scary injury.
