Injured NXT Star Advertised For Return

Injured NXT Star Advertised For Return

NXT Star Tino Sabbatelli has been advertised for the house show card on Friday, February 14, 2020 in Tampa, Florida. Sabbatelli has been out of action since 2018 with a torn pectoral muscle.

Tino Sabbatelli was last seen as part of a duo with the current 24/7 Champion, Riddick Moss. The duo had a short-lived feud with Heavy Machinery.

After losing to Heavy Machinery, Tino turned on his partner Moss. However, the angle never went anywhere due to Sabbatelli’s injury.

Sabbatelli debuted for NXT back in 2015. However, he didn’t debut on NXT Television until 2016.

Sabbatelli is a former college football player and had a run in the NFL.  He played for the Oregon State Beavers. In the NFL, he spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Sabbatelli was known for his incredible athleticism. Due to his athletic ability, he had the best agility time in the 2006 NFL combine and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds.

One of the things Sabbatelli has been criticized for is his inability to turn his incredible athleticism into a character that effectively connects with the crowd. You can watch him struggle with this on WWE Breaking Ground on the WWE Network.

It seemed Sabbatelli was finally starting to turn the corner with his character when this latest injury took place. Hopefully, he’s fully recovered and can pick back up where he left off.
