Injured WWE Star Returns To SmackDown

Last night’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FOX saw the return of a star we haven’t seen for a number of months.

During a singles match between Gran Metalik and Shinsuke Nakamura, Metalik’s fellow Lucha House Party member Kalisto returned, distracting Nakamura and allowing Metalik to get an upset win.

Kalisto had been out of action since December 12 with a separated shoulder which required surgery.

His last match on broadcast was way back on last year’s Survivor Series pre-show in a three-way for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship with Lio Rush and Akira Tozawa.

Kalisto has competed across all US-based WWE brands at some point and is a former Cruiserweight Champion and United States Champion.

After being in 205 Live, Lucha House Party was moved to SmackDown in the last WWE Draft, and look set to be the next challengers for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship
