There was plenty concern for Drew McIntyre over the weekend as the Scottish Psycopath seemed to injure his knee at a WWE live show in Tupelo, Mississippi.
McIntyre was facing off against Dean Ambrose when he seemed to injure himself going for a Claymore Kick. The referee held up the “X” symbol to indicate that McIntyre was injured, and the Scotsman had to be helped to the back with a very clear limp.
Thankfully it seems that McIntyre’s injury was nowhere near as bad as first thought, as he managed to take on Ambrose again the following night at a live event in Montgomery, Alabama,
An injury to someone like Drew McIntyre is the absolute last thing WWE needs at the moment, with a number of big stars already missing with various knocks.
It is thought that last week’s NXT call-ups were due in part to the amount of injuries on the main roster.
