Injury Updates After Scary IMPACT Rebellion Spots

There has been a couple of updates surrounding possible injuries following the IMPACT Wrestling Rebellion pay-per-view.

On last night’s show, Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering defeated Fire and Flava for the Knockouts Tag Team Championship. During the match, Tasha Steelz took a pretty hard fall during a dive, colliding back-first with the ring apron.

As per Fightful Select (subscription required), Steelz is said to be fine. It was noted that she continued and finished the match with no sign of injury.

Another scary spot took place in the match between Matt Cardona and Bryan Myers. Cardona was thrown into the air, coming down at an awkward angle, seemingly tweaking his knee. The match was brought to a halt, with the referee throwing up the “X” sign, indicating a suspected injury.

A fan took to Twiter, concerned for Cardona’s health. Cardona retweeted the post, saying:

“Hopefully just a scare. Thanks for the concern.”

Cardona made his own post to tell fans that his injury isn’t suspected to be too serious, tweeting:

“Hopefully not as bad as it felt. Knee cap is back in place. Thanks guys.”

Myers capitalised on Cardona’s injury to win the match.

Also on the show, a former WWE star made a surprise appearance. The debut involved the new competitor taking Eric Young’s place in the 8-man tag match.

In the main event, Kenny Omega defeated Rich Swann to become IMPACT World Champion. Omega now owns 3 world titles, for AEW, AAA and IMPACT respectively.
