Inspiration Behind Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn’s New WWE Merchandise Revealed WWE

The inspiration behind Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn’s new WWE merchandise has been revealed.

Merchandise for WWE stars has always been an important factor in their success. From Stone Cold Steve Austin to the New Day, the top merchandise sellers have become staples of the company.

Typically, WWE use in-house designers for the bulk of their merchandise ideas, but a new t-shirt design came from inspiration of an eye-opening source.

In late January, Twitter user @Youngy54 took to social media to suggest an idea for a new Zayn and Owens shirt, naming it a “KO-llaboration.” He wrote:

“So, remember when Kevin told Sami backstage a while back “You need a new shirt, buddy?” Well I haven’t made anything for a while and I had an idea. A collaboration (KO-llaboration?) for the inevitable reconciliation. The Honorary Uce is no more; time to fight for what’s right.”

On April 15, the fan expressed his shock and delight by sharing a private message from Kevin Owens recently citing his original tweet as the inspiration behind their new gear. Owens wrote:

“Hey buddy!

I thought for sure I had told you this already but I guess I meant to and didn’t get around to it but your design was absolutely the inspiration for our gear!”

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated The Usos to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships in an emotional battle in the main event of WrestleMania 39 Night 1.

As previously reported, Owens and Zayn will defend their titles against The Usos in a rematch on the April 28 episode of WWE SmackDown.
