Intercontinental Championship Match Announced For SmackDown Next Week

AJ Styles hasn’t been on SmackDown in a couple of weeks. The last time we saw him he wrestled Gran Metalik. AJ has defeated Daniel Bryan, Matt Riddle, and Drew Gulak as well.

Tonight, on Smackdown, AJ Styles said he didn’t think there was anyone else who deserved a title shot. He had a very technical statistical analysis to prove it.

He enlisted the help of a former IMPACT Wrestler to conduct the Phenomenal Intercontinental Statistical System. If you’re looking for an acronym, then it’s P.I.S.S.

Michale Cole and Corey Graves certainly took the piss out of Joseph Parks, aka Abyss, while he was appearing on the screen. AJ did the same for all his competitors.

Eventually, Jeff Hardy made his way out to the ring and challenged Styles. Hardy pointed out that he should have been in the tournament before Sheamus attacked him. Did you forget? I did.

AJ turned him down. Hardy punched him. WWE made the match.

WWE announced the match would be official later on in the night. Next Friday night, it will be Hardy vs. Styles. We’ll have live coverage as always next week.
