Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the angle for the main event of WrestleMania 35 on the go-home episode of Raw, that saw Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey attack each other whilst in handcuffs before being ‘arrested’, featured input from a lot of backstage officials.
Dave Meltzer reported that Paul Heyman, who has been working closely with the three women in the main event, especially Ronda Rousey, was involved heavily with the segment. It was also noted that Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn and Marty Miller were also part of the creative process. Marty Miller has worked as part of the WWE camera crew for years, as well as dabbling as a director.
The newsletter also mentioned that the backstage part of the segment, where the cop cars were involved, was not aired live and was in fact taped before the show. This is why there were some camera cuts.
WrestleTalk will be providing live coverage for the WrestleMania 35 on Sunday night where Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair will become the first women in history to main event the “show of shows”.
