Fans were left scratching their heads while listening to the commentary on Monday Night Raw last night as Byron Saxton said that the match between Asuka and Nia Jax was worthy of the WrestleMania main event stage.
Fightful Select has provided a bit of extra information on the line from Byron Saxton, and it has emerged that he was specifically told to call the match a WrestleMania main event calibre match, and it wasn’t something he just came up with:
In case you were wondering, the Byron Saxton line about Asuka vs. Nia Jax being “WrestleMania Main Event Worthy” was scripted and instructed to him completely. There was no ad libbing on his part for that line, and was a total directive from WWE.
Speaking of Nia Jax, it appears that Mandy Rose may have suffered a nasty injury after being thrown out of the ring by the former Raw Women’s Champion on last night’s show. You can read more about that by clicking here.
