An interesting future challenged for Thunder Rosa’s AEW Women’s Championship has possibly been revealed.
Rosa last defended her gold on this week’s edition of Dynamite, pinning Marina Shafir.
Shafir had built her AEW profile on the weekly streaming shows, regularly wrestling for Dark since December 2021. TJPW star Miyu Yamashita recently made her AEW in-ring debut, wrestling during Monday’s episode of Dark: Elevation.
Per the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, there has been talk of doing a Thunder Rosa vs Miyu Yamashita AEW Women’s Championship bout because of her performance at the recent taping.
AEW will hold its next Dark tapings at Universal Studios on Saturday. Several notable names featured on advertising for the shows, including ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta.
