International Star Responds To Seth Rollins Shout Out, Teases Future Match WWE

A legendary international star has responded after being shouted out by WWE’s Seth Rollins during a recent interview, teasing a future match between the two.

Amid his current absence from WWE programming due to a shoulder injury, Seth Rollins recently appeared on Games With Names and discussed a variety of topics, including the origins of his WWE finishing move The Stomp.

Rollins openly admitted to stealing the move from current WWE SmackDown star Alex Shelley, but noted how Shelley had himself taken the move from Pro Wrestling NOAH legend Naomichi Marufuji, who Rollins refered to as a “God when it comes to innovating moves”.

Following Rollins’ comments, Marufuji himself took to Twitter in response, expressing his joy at the shout out, while also admitting that he would love to wrestle “The Visionary” in the future.

Marufuji wrote (Translation via Google):

I’m so happy!

I’d love to wrestle Seth someday…

WWE has allowed select main roster and NXT talent compete in Pro Wrestling NOAH in recent years with former NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank recently wrapping up a stint in the promotion.

Marufuji himself is also no stranger to WWE and NOAH cross promotional matches, with perhaps the most notable example being his match with AJ Styles at NOAH Destination in July 2024.
