Is Paul Heyman Behind Monday Night Raw?

It has recently come to light, via leaked internal documents, that the ‘Advocate’ Paul Heyman is working for WWE in a creative capacity as well as the mouth-piece for WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.

Said papers contain the details of Heyman’s role within the company, listing him as a road agent and stating that the brain behind ECW even wrote multiple segments on this week’s Raw. The biggest being the altercation between Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley. He’s even noted as writing the latter’s promo which transpired later in the evening.

This comes as surprising news. Not only has Heyman been notorious for only working when his ‘client’ does, but the man who revolutionized an entire era of wrestling is now apparently responsible for allowing dire segments to slip through the net. While not fully in charge, the ‘Godfather of ECW’ obviously holds sway backstage so it’s surprising, being a notoriously opinioned individual, that he hasn’t spoken out against some of the questionable writing.

Should his role behind the scenes increase, it’s possible that we’ll see an upturn in quality during the draining three hours on Monday nights. Let’s be completely honest, his input and knowledge can’t make things worse.
