Issue With WWE Ring Mat Sponsors WWE

A WWE star has come out and spoken about an issue they’ve experienced with the company’s ring mat sponsors as of late.

Since the TKO takeover of WWE, the company has been incorporating ring mat logos as a money generator, usually including smaller logos in each of the four corners and then one big logo in the middle.

The first ever ring mat sponsor was for Logan Paul and KSI’s Prime brand – with Paul himself now speaking about an issue with the sponsors.

On the latest episode of Impaulsive, after discussing LA Knight’s slip off the ropes during the Elimination Chamber match, Paul brought up how the ring surface gets slippery as well.

He said:

“By the end of the night, the middle of that ring gets really slippery with them logos painted in there. I’ll just say it bro, I noticed.

“I can’t get running full speed. I’ve gotta be really careful with my feet and my placement, because the logos that they now paint in the middle of the ring…

“That I started. I started it with Prime. We were the first in-ring middle of the ring sponsor ever with the logo – it’s not us anymore, it’s not us anymore.

“I know this was a thing because before we did that, we were going back and forth with WWE about whether or not it was even possible, because the way they paint it, they wanted to actually stress test the mats and have people wrestle and see if it got oily, and they determined that the type of paint they used was okay and that it wasn’t gonna be slippery.

“But then they started using colored paint as well. I don’t know what they’re using now, but I’m telling you, it’s slippery.”
