AEW announced on tonight’s (July 14) Fyter Fest night one episode of Dynamite that the IWGP United States Championship will be defended on night two in a deathmatch.
To open the show tonight, Jon Moxley retained the championship against Elite member Karl Anderson with a Paradigm Shift.
After Moxley’s win, Lance Archer cut a promo about how Moxley won the title from him in a Texas Deathmatch, before challenging Moxley to a Texas Deathmatch on next week’s show for the title.
Next week’s show will also see AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker defend her title against Nyla Rose.
