Former WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY has revealed something she always does to ensure her match quality keeps improving.
Many fans and wrestlers alike have praised IYO SKY’s in-ring ability in recent years especially, with SKY establishing herself as one of the most consistent performers on the WWE roster.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, IYO SKY noted that she focuses so much on her in-ring ability because she knows that’s what got her through the door in WWE.
She explained:
“I’m not a frequent English speaker, English is not my first language. I thought, what is my strength? My strength is the wrestling.
“Wrestling is my strength, wrestling is why I’m here, why I’m on the WWE roster. I have so much passion for the matches, of course promo too, but I understand that promos are hard for me.”

Explaining how she prepares for matches, and how she makes each rematch feel bigger than the last, SKY said:
“I always keep my wrestling quality better than myself yesterday, better than my last match.
“I’m always thinking ‘add something more.’ For example, ‘IYO, tomorrow you’re going to have a match with Stephanie (Vaquer) or Bianca Belair’, I’d watch back me and Bianca or Stephanie’s matches.
“I’d look, look, look, and think of something more special to add to the next match. That’s why my match quality is getting better, better, better.”
