Jacob Fatu has recalled making a mistake during a WWE match with a notable SmackDown star.
Since making his WWE debut in July 2024, Jacob Fatu has faced off many times with LA Knight, including defeating “The Mega Star” for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 41 earlier this year.
During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Fatu was asked by O’Shea Jackson Jr. if he has ever hit an opponent a “little too hard”. In response the “The Samoan Werewolf” recalled an in-ring meeting with LA Knight that saw him land errantly whilst executing one of his trademark high flying moves.
While he didn’t name exactly when the incident happened, Fatu recalled his knee landing on Knight’s face during one of their meetings:
“Oh, man. So, I think I backflipped on LA Knight’s face before. I did, yeah. I backflipped, man. My whole knee came down. I mean, hey, man, we be having good matches. Most of the time I’m on point… I think I did catch Knight, bro.
“Damn. I probably should have never said that. Shout-out to LA.”
Despite still being listed as a member of the SmackDown roster, LA Knight has spent more time on Raw in recent months and will challenge for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship at Clash in Paris on August 31, along with CM Punk and Jey Uso.
