Jade Cargill has revealed she hopes to meet Stone Cold Steve Austin at tonight’s WWE Hall of Fame, having missed the opportunity last year.

Taking place on April 17, this year’s WWE Hall of Fame is headlined by Stephanie McMahon and AJ Styles.

Along with the inductees, a number of WWE stars will be in attendance, with Women’s Champion Jade Cargill revealing she hopes to meet Stone Cold Steve Austin at the ceremony.

After the Hall of Fame, Jade Cargill will defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania

Revealing that she’s a fan of the WWE Attitude Era, Cargill shared her hope in a recent interview, saying to Fox News:

“I’m more like an Attitude Era (fan). Like the early 2000s, like mid-2000s, Triple H, Chyna, that kind of thing. Stone Cold. I have to… I hope he is there because I want to meet him.

“He’s one of the people, other than Paul Heyman, when I first got here, and Booker T. With Paul Heyman, I had to meet him. Like how has this guy survived this long and been such a… I don’t know, he’s bigger than life. He’s just natural. With him, I had to meet him, take a picture with him, talk to him, had to do that.

“And, Stone Cold is the other person, so I’m very hopeful that he’s gonna be there at the Hall of Fame. I really wanna meet him. He was there last year, but I couldn’t like… there were so many people crowding him.

“Just to see Stephanie (McMahon) get her flowers is one-of-one. I love that for her.”

Triple H recently said that McMahon’s induction was “not only deserving, it’s impossible to not have you in there”.

The Timeless Quality Of Stone Cold Steve Austin

With nineteen years between the WrestleMania match that saw an end to Stone Cold Steve Austin’s career and his return to the top WWE PLE in 2022, there’s a timeless quality to The Rattlesnake.

A two-time WWE Hall of Famer, with his induction last year being alongside Bret Hart for the first Immortal Moment award, celebrating their WrestleMania 13 match, Austin still has a place in the hearts of many fans the world over.

A straight-talking, beer-drinking brawler, with a very specific way with words, Austin was a six-time WWF Champion, two-time Intercontinental Champion and held the WWF Tag Team Championship four times with the same number of partners.

His WrestleMania 38 match in 2022 would be his first in nearly twenty years, defeating Kevin Owens with a Stone Cold Stunner. That wasn’t the only time fans would see him, with Night 2 featuring Austin hitting a Stunner of the then-Theory, before doing the same to Vince McMahon.

Still on good terms with WWE, Austin made an appearance at WrestleMania 41, announcing the attendance for Night 2, but may be more remembered for crashing his ATV on the way to the ring.

While fans will no doubt be eager to see if Stone Cold appears at WrestleMania, it was previously reported that he will be in attendance at WWE World in Las Vegas over this weekend.
