There has been an update on WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill’s legitimate injury following SmackDown.
On last week’s episode of SmackDown, Women’s Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill was taken out of action in a backstage attack during partner Bianca Belair’s Women’s United States Championship tournament clash with Chelsea Green and Blair Davenport.
Following the show, WWE diagnosed Jade Cargill with a number of injuries, with her being replaced in her United States Championship tournament match on next week’s SmackDown, as well as the upcoming Women’s WarGames match.
In an update from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the injury angle to Cargill was used to cover for a legitimate injury to Jade.
He notes that the severity of the injury is not currently known internally, except the fact that those in creative were told that it would be a minimum of three months out, maybe longer.
WWE has yet to make an announcement on the status of the Women’s Tag Team Championship following Jade’s injury.
We wish Jade all the best and a full and complete recovery from her injury.
