Update On Jade Cargill Potential AEW Dynamite Canadian Opponents

A new report has provided an update on Jade Cargill’s potential Canadian opponents for March 15 edition of AEW Dynamite.

On the March 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, Jade Cargill challenged any Canadian opponent for next week’s show in Winnipeg.

This has led to a great deal of speculation among fans who are wondering who will be the opponent on this Wednesday’s Dynamite.

Fightful Select (subscription required) has provided an update, breaking down each name that has been brought up as a possible challenger for the TBS Champion.

On independent wrestling star LuFisto, the report notes that she had interest in joining All Elite Wrestling, and there was some informal discussions about her possibly becoming a coach for the promotion. As of Thursday, she is not the planned opponent.

In regards of Jody Threat, she is still a free agent and based in Ontario. She worked in Winnipeg as recently as last week.

Taya Valkyrie has been working nearly everywhere with stints in IMPACT Wrestling, MLW and NWA. She recently finished up her run with IMPACT last month and is not under a contract. The report also notes that Taya can wrestle wherever she wants, but she does have dates with MLW through next month.

In regards to Valkyrie’s former tag team partner and rival Rosemary, she is under a deal with IMPACT Wrestling, but can take select outside bookings. It is unlikely that includes AEW without proper clearance.

On Nicole Matthews, she has recently been taking United States bookings, but she is still based out of Vancouver. Matthews has been traveling to the U.S. more this year and is fully legal to work in America.

Finally, The Bunny is a name currently on the AEW roster who is from Canada. She has only wrestled once in 2023, but the match against Jamie Hayter was cut short due to injury and she has been out of action since.
